Earth Kids is about supporting children to become ‘nature smart’ - to have the knowledge, understandings and skills to engage in creating a more sustainable world – in a fun and interactive way
Children learn from nature; explore permaculture, ecoarts & bushcraft skills; and have outdoor fun at our expanded 8-week Earth Kids homeschool program, running each term in 2023. The Term 1 program runs on Wednesday mornings (February 1st to March 22nd, 2023).
Earth Kids is all about supporting children to learn from and with the natural world – in a fun and interactive way. The program links to the curriculum in a myriad of ways, not only for Science, but also English, Mathematics, the Arts and more. Each program differs according to the seasons and includes a diversity of activities. The Term 1 Program has an invertebrate theme – we’ll be exploring the ways in which invertebrates are connected to the natural world.
The program is for children aged 6 to 12 years of age. Parents can chose to drop children or stay with the group.The hours are from 9.30am to 12.30pm each day (drop off/arrive from 9.15am and pick up until 12.45pm). On the final day there is an afternoon gathering and shared lunch with parents and families from 12pm – 1pm.
