Chatterbox Early Learning and Child Care is a long day care service based in the leafy suburb of Albany Creek, in North-West Brisbane.  Our Centre is fortunate to front on to the Richard Lee Reserve, as well as an open space grassy parkland. From our babies to our Kindergarten children, each group go on weekly nature walks, venturing outside the gates to explore the reserve or to play and climb trees in the parkland. Nature play and our nature walks are a fundamental part of our program as we recognise the benefits of children regularly connecting to their natural environment. Our Educators and children also have rich nature-based play spaces inside the centre grounds to engage with on a daily basis; such as our mud pits and “secret garden”.

We were delighted for our service to be awarded a “Forest Learning Bush Kindergarten” in February 2020 and have used Nature Play Qld as a source of inspiration for experiences to engage the children in, such as the Nature Play Passports expeditions and challenges.

We also engage with our local community with yearly excursions to Bunyaville State Forest for a “Bush Kindy” day for our 4 – 5 year old Kindergarten children and Kumbartcho Sanctuary at Eatons Hill for our 3 year old Pre Kindy children.
