BeachCare is the Gold Coast’s dune restoration program facilitated by the Griffith Centre for Coastal Management in partnership with the City of Gold Coast. The program educates the local community and provides opportunities to become involved in caring for their local coastal environment, learning about coastal processes and management techniques, and to become stewards of the natural environment. Activities such as planting native dune species, removing invasive weeds and collecting and auditing beach litter are completed by volunteers of all ages.
